Financial Policy & Financial Aid

Financial policy

  • SUSA Academy tuition is an ANNUAL COMMITMENT. It is NOT a monthly membership.

  • An installment plan is offered as a convenience to our members.

  • All PAST DUE PAYMENTS and FAILED ATTEMPTS to credit cards will automatically incur a $15 late fee after 14 days. Any players past due more than 21 days, will become inactive and will be removed from team rosters and all communication.

  • All payments are NON-REFUNDABLE and NON-TRANSFERABLE.

  • If you decide to leave the academy at any time during the season, you are responsible for the full annual tuition.

Financial aid

SUSA FC is pleased to offer need-based financial aid on an annual basis to help families offset club fees. The club has a limited budget available for players. The number of players receiving aid and the amount of aid given will vary depending on the funds available each year.

Financial Aid Awards are based upon demonstrated need only. Demonstrated financial need is the sole determinant in receiving financial assistance. Recipients are expected to commit to helping the organization by contributing service hours through the season.

Submission Deadline – The club must receive all completed documentation prior to August 1, 2024, including the relevant 1040 Tax Return form(s) for 2023. Payment of the acceptance fee is also required to hold a roster spot. If we are unable to come to an agreement, we will allow a refund on the registration. 

 

Notification – The SUSA Board of Directors will notify ALL applicants of the Board’s decisions by August 21, 2024.

If a player has received Financial Aid in a prior year this does not guarantee your aid in the current year. You must apply for aid yearly and the club takes additional factors into consideration when reviewing the application:

  • Did the previous recipient fulfill their prior year agreement?

  • Is the family in good financial standing with tuition and team fees?

  • Did they willingly volunteer for team and club commitments?

  • Was the recipient player's attendance regular and punctual at training and games?

Please note that:

  • In order to be eligible for financial aid, all applicants must be in good financial standing with the club and their team.

  • Any application that has missing or incomplete information will be deemed incomplete and will NOT be considered or reviewed by the Board.

  • All Financial Aid award recipients are still responsible for paying any uniform and team expenses not covered by the aid award.

  • Please note, Financial aid may no longer be available after the indicated dates. However, please feel free to contact the club to inquire about the possibility of Financial Aid after the dates listed, at missy@susaacademy.com

In order to be considered for financial aid, applicants must complete both of the following two steps:

  1. Complete the application in its entirety - please note you MUST submit a copy of your 2023 Federal Tax Return pages 1 and 2 (form 1040) during the online application (PLEASE black out all Social Security Numbers before submitting). 

  2. Please pay the acceptance fee online, per your player contract, prior to sending in the application for each player for whom you are applying for financial assistance. (Example: if you are applying for financial assistance for 2 players playing on SUSA teams, pay both acceptance fees).

how to submit your application on desktop

  • Log into your PlayMetrics Account

  • Select 'Club Programs' on the menu on the left hand side of the page

  • Select the 'Financial Aid' tab near the top of the page

  • Hit the blue button in the top right corner of the page labeled 'Request Financial Aid' 

  • Choose your Academy player, complete the questionnaire and upload the required paperwork

  • Submit request

  • Log into your PlayMetrics Account

  • Select 'Programs' on the bottom of the page

  • Select the 'Financial Aid' option from the drop down at the top of the page under programs

  • Hit the blue plus sign in the top right corner of the page 

  • Choose your Academy player, complete the questionnaire and upload the required paperwork

  • Submit request
